An invitation to an evening with the Woodhams Stone Collection

Tuesday, 26th June 2018 from 7pm to 9pm

The Woodhams Stone Collection is based in Malton, and we are looking for energetic and
enthusiastic people to become Trustees of the Collection and to help drive the Trust
We are at an exciting point in our story, becoming a Charitable Incorporated Organisation,
with a new Forward Plan in place, plans to create our own store and workspace for the
collection and aspirations to develop new opportunities for volunteers and for making the
collections accessible to all.
We are looking to recruit new Trustees to join us. We are particularly interested in people
who will bring skills in:
 Fundraising, income generation and merchandising
 Marketing and social media
 Museum collections
 Research and exhibitions
 Volunteer co-ordination
 Trust secretarial role
 Trust treasurer
But we are open to hearing what else you have to offer. We welcome all applications but
would particularly welcome those with:
 An interest in local and social history
 A knowledge of or connection to Malton, Norton or Old Malton
 Previous experience as a trustee or on a charity or voluntary organisation committee
The trustee handbook provides details of all the roles within the trust including those
currently being recruited.
As a trustee you will be expected to attend 4 to 6 trust meetings per year as well as
participate in sub-committee meetings and activities. You will need to be able to provide
additional time outside of the meetings to help deliver our activities and aspirations.

[email protected] or by phone 07989656690).
